5 Ways to Make Money in College

5 Ways to Make + Save Money in College

I remember doing another blog post about this topic when I first created my website, but, after reading some of the older options I provided, I'm excited to release another post with newer and proven money making options for the ramen-noodle-eating paper writers like myself.

If you are visiting this post as a college student, let me first congratulate you on completing the semester and offer a virtual hug to help ease the subsiding stress pains you may be feeling after a rough year!

EBATES:

Ebates is, by far, my favorite website where I can earn some cash back as I shop at top-name stores online. I know, I know, (I’m already ahead of you)...WHY would I tell you about a website geared around shopping when this post is about MAKING money?
Well, once you visit Ebates, you’ll understand how it's addicting to shop with the knowledge of getting money back after every purchase. If you're already a casual mall-shopper while in college; why not switch gears and shop at a place that offers cash back with major brands like Kohl's, Walmart, JCPenney, Amazon and more!

Check it out for yourself and look into referring some of your own family members and friends! Once you create an account, you can refer anyone you please and earn $5 for every friend that signs up to start saving and earning! Can you say Cha-Ching? Check out Ebates here if you're interested in making some extra cash!

Digit Savings:

Sign up for Digit Savings, and allow this FDIC safe banking service to HELP YOU save chump change in a separate account that is manageable through your cell phone. Not only have I made money by referring friends, but I rarely notice when Digit saves $0.75 here and there—until I look into my account and see a random $15 I didn't even notice was missing!

Here's an example from my personal account summary to show you how amazing Digit is...Since I joined, this service saved me $455 that I practically didn't know was missing as it was being saved! The average withdraw was around $1-$3 for me, which is incredibly painless to give up if you think about it. Make sure to visit digit.co if you're interested in learning more!

Amazon.com Associates:

If you're a blogger, or you have the ability to add codes to a web page that you own, look into the Amazon Associates program. With this, you're able to look up ANY item on amazon that you think your audience will be interested in and share a custom code that gives you 4% commission from the sale if someone purchases the item that you featured. Once you start to sell some items, after reaching a selling threshold, your commission is raised to 6% or more depending on your success.

This is an ideal program to be a part of, especially if you're a blogger, but it’s something to look into if you're trying to find a way to earn some money and help the audience you may have on your social media accounts. Check it out to learn more and start earning some side moolah!

Ebay:

One clever way to make money is to sell your older items on eBay or other resale sites and apps. No matter how irrelevant some items may seem to you, you'll never know if someone else is searching for what you have to offer. Whether it’s some gently used shoes, clothing or other tangible products that you don’t need, it’s a pretty exciting thing to hear your phone 'ding' when someone shows interest in an item you posted!

If you’re interested, easily jump over to the Ebay homepage.

Sell Your Crafts & Services:

This is something I’m sure you've seen everywhere if you search this topic, but it yields the most success over time if what you have to offer is requested by others. Whether you set up an Etsy store selling something you create, or you write an Ebook about something you're an ‘expert’ on—if you have a few dollars to invest, then you're already on your way down "Entrepreneurship Lane." Visit etsy.com to start your own side hustle now!

That's all I have for you guys! I hope it helped and that you're able to add these ideas to a money making list you've probably already created. Make sure to subscribe to The Intentional Newsletter for a bi-weekly email update and motivational message!

Good luck on your money-making journey!
